listening to a speech by Mellisa Flournoy.. talking about louisiana's recovery from katrina and the effect of technology for non profits to have recovered from that disaster...
i myself am going through my own recovery from being horribly sick on thursday... ultimately keeping me from participating in the workshops... AND the parties.. (very sad about that)

but the general topic of disaster recovery is really on my mind now... the whole "what would you do" question, as silly as you would think that is to answer on a sunny day in chicago, is actually a really important thing to do. and making the real argument of the value in that plan. i laugh now thinking about how i would be holding our tape backup in my purse as i worked, and as the fire drills came, running out of the office, with nothing in my hands..
